La colonne centrale dispose d'un crochet à son extrémité inférieure afin d'accrocher du lest et ainsi baisser le centre de gravité pour une meilleure stabilité. Les jambes du trépied peuvent acceuillir à la place des patins en caoutchouc des pointes en acier pour une utilisation extérieure.
